Dear Students:

Another weekend is upon us. We’ve made it through four full weeks of the semester. Thank you for making this possible. But please don’t let your guard down now. As we’ve seen in recent days, it’s on all of us to keep our bubble intact. Traveling and socializing outside of Central New York, or inviting friends or loved ones here, increases COVID-19 cases in our community. So, as we head into another weekend, remember, keeping yourself and those around you healthy and safe is simple. Just take these steps:

1. Avoid traveling outside of Central New York or to other college campuses.
2. Do not host visitors from outside the Central New York community.
3. Wear your mask or face covering, always!
4. Maintain 6 feet of distance.
5. Limit the size of social gatherings.
6. Wash your hands often.

We recognize this weekend is especially important for our Jewish students with Rosh Hashanah beginning tomorrow night. We know it’s difficult not to be able to travel home or have family visit during this special time. We are grateful to Hillel for creating meaningful opportunities to virtually celebrate the Jewish New Year. Please visit to learn more.
