Â鶹ƵµÀUniversity Parking and Transit Services Office is working closely with its partners at Centro and implementing changes to safeguard the health and safety of its passengers. The campus shuttles, buses and trolleys that crisscross campus will operate with different rules this semester to adhere to the latest public health guidance provided by Onondaga County and New York State.

Some of the changes that riders will notice when they use campus transportation this fall include:

• Capacity has been reduced by 50 percent on all modes of campus transportation (transit, trolley and school buses) to meet current physical distancing guidelines.
• To maintain service levels for students and staff, additional buses and trolleys have been added to some North Campus, South Campus and near campus routes during peak times.
• Public health signage, including signs reminding passengers to wear masks, has been installed in all University trolleys.
• Hand sanitizer dispensers have been added to all University trolleys.
• Signage reminding riders about mask-wearing and social distancing protocols has been installed at all campus bus shelters.
• Both Centro and the University have implemented enhanced cleaning protocols for their vehicles.

Parking and Transit Services staff will monitor service levels and ridership very closely over the first few weeks and will make plenty of adjustments as ridership levels are made clear.

Other changes that Parking and Transit Services have made to bus service in the on- and near-campus areas for the 2020-21 year include:

• Centro has added service, , to address demand to and from East Campus areas and Â鶹ƵµÀStage.
• : Based on past ridership studies, Nob Hill and James Street are no longer covered within the University fare free zone and riders will pay Centro for the using that service.
