Students: Have you ever imagined studying marine ecology by scuba diving off the coast of Morocco? Or learning about environmental justice while kayaking in Sweden? These culturally enriching and unique opportunities are part of the �鶹Ƶ��Abroad experience, and are well within reach as part of your global education. Your journey starts on Thursday, Sept. 5, with �鶹Ƶ��Abroad Day.

Students (as well as faculty and staff) are invited to visit the �鶹Ƶ��Abroad tent from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the Shaw Quad and learn about the various options for international study through �鶹Ƶ��Abroad’s 100 programs in 60 different countries.

When students arrive to the �鶹Ƶ��Abroad Day tent, they will swipe their I.D. card and be handed a passport. This passport will be their guide to getting the most out of �鶹Ƶ��Abroad Day.  Each page steers students to someone who can answer important questions about �鶹Ƶ��Abroad options.

Students will need to go to tables situated across the tent to speak with:

• a �鶹Ƶ��Abroad center representative and a World Partner representative to learn about the variety of programming options;
• a financial aid counselor to learn about financial assistance available to students; and
• a global ambassador (students who have previously studied abroad), where students can learn firsthand about program experiences abroad.

At each station, students’ passports will be stamped. Students may then submit their completed passports to be entered into a drawing for a suitcase—perfect for their �鶹Ƶ��Abroad adventure.

“�鶹Ƶ��Abroad Day will help students learn about programs and the breadth of opportunities available to them,” says Anjuman Alam ’20. “This event is the first step for anyone interested in studying abroad.” A Hong Kong global ambassador, Alam studied in Hong Kong during the Spring 2018 semester. One of 25 �鶹Ƶ��Abroad global ambassadors who will be attending �鶹Ƶ��Abroad Day, she will be available to answer questions ranging from life in Hong Kong to her internship at a startup and the ease of traveling across East Asia.

�鶹Ƶ��University maintains study abroad centers in Florence, Italy; Hong Kong; London, UK; Madrid, Spain; Santiago, Chile; and Strasbourg, France. In addition, �鶹Ƶ��Abroad’s World Partner programs offer personalized and culturally immersive academic travel with programs that range from Australia to the West Indies at 60 institutions across the globe.

�鶹Ƶ��Abroad Day attendees can speak with World Partner representatives from Israel, Dublin, Sydney and a dozen more locales to learn about these unique program opportunities firsthand.
