Graduating seniors, mark your calendars for The event will be held Thursday, May 9, from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. in the Ensley Athletic Center on South Campus. This free end-of-year bash is one of the final festivities for seniors to celebrate their time at Â鶹ƵµÀUniversity with classmates and friends. Tickets are available now at the . The event is free for seniors and one guest ticket may be purchased for $12.
Each year, the Office of Student Activities sponsors the event and works alongside the students of the Traditions Commission and Homecoming Court to select the event’s theme and activities. This year’s theme is Comic ’Cuse, inspired by Comic-Con. Attendees are encouraged to dress for the theme and Cosplay. Please note, prop weapons will not be allowed.
This epic evening will be full of adventure. Highlights include rock climbing, a giant inflatable slide, electronic games, a bounce house, a photo booth and a DJ for students to dance the night away. This event will be held on turf, so appropriate footwear is strongly encouraged.
Free food and beverages will be provided. For students 21 years and older, beer bracelets will be available for sale from 9 p.m. to midnight. A valid government issued I.D. is required and beer bracelets may only be purchased with cash. Beer bracelets are $3 and may be used to acquire three beers. Alcohol sales will end at 12:30 a.m.
Shuttle transportation will be provided to and from the event, starting at 8:30 p.m. and continuing throughout the event. Goldstein Student Center, College Place and the intersection of Westcott Street and Euclid Avenue will operate as designated pick-up and drop-off locations.
“Senior Celebration is a high-energy University tradition,” says Sarah Ross Cappella, associate director in the Office of Student Activities. ‘The seniors have worked hard to get to graduation, so we encourage them to celebrate their accomplishments with a final bash alongside friends and classmates.’
