The Population Health Symposium, a one day mini-conference, will be held on Friday, Nov. 2, from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m in Schine 304. The event aims to build interdisciplinary relationships between population health scholars on the hill to generate proposals for external funding.
The day will consist of lightning round research talks by faculty members from 鶹ƵUniversity, SUNY Upstate and SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry, and will highlight the resources and focus of research centers at the institutions.
Participants will have the opportunity to brainstorm ideas for specific funding proposals during break out sessions centered around major themes: child and maternal health; environmental health; addiction and mental health; veterans, trauma and violence; disability; and health-related policy.
Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
The Population Health Symposium is a CUSE Grant project convened by The Lerner Center, Aging Studies Institute, the Falk College of Sport and Human Dynamics, SUNY Upstate and SUNY ESF.
