Whitman professor Burak Kazaz, also the Steven R. Becker Professor of Supply Management and the Laura J. and L. Douglas Meredith Professor of Teaching Excellence, was recently cited in multiple publications about the prices of wines and how they will be altered for various reasons this season. He co-authored a piece for Liv-ex, while also being quoted in a Harpers article. Based on research conducted by Kazaz and an RPI professor, he says the weather and other factors will cause a slight price increase in wine this year.
