All flight requests are to be made through the Office of Risk Management and Regulatory Compliance, and reviewed for approval prior to the flight. We ask that the request include details on the purpose for the flight, a flight plan along with documentation of proper registration and insurance ( for third party vendor flights). In addition, a Department of Public Safety Law Enforcement or Fire and Life Safety officer must be present with the operator for the duration of the flight. All flights must comply with FAA regulations.

Drone pilots must operate in accordance with a community-based set of guidelines and within the programming of a nationwide community-based organization. The drone must weigh less than 55 pounds, never interfere with any manned aircraft and always be flown within the operator’s line-of-sight. Again, drone flights must comply with FAA regulations
