He is now a Sports Management professor in Falk College, but in 2008, Rick Burton was the Chief Marketing Officer for the United State Olympic Committee during the Beijing Games. A decade later, he spoke with LocalSYR.com about this year’s Games, specifically about the great moments that are born from international competition.

“Is it going to be a skier, or a figure skater? Is it going to be a hockey player? That moment is never defined by the sport,” he said. “It’s defined by the moment.”
