U.S. News & World Report Gives Top 50 Ranking to Whitman’s Online MBA Program

, the ‘s online MBA program, recently was ranked No. 42 by U.S. News & World Report in its publication of , released Jan. 9. The online Accounting@Â鶹ƵµÀand BusinessAnalytics@Â鶹ƵµÀprograms were collectively ranked No. 56, up from No. 70. The rankings include 199 programs from the nearly 230 regionally accredited institutions nationwide that offer online master’s degree business programs.

How Do We Rank? graphicFor U.S. News’ online MBA rankings, statistical information on student engagement, admissions selectivity, peer reputation, faculty credentials and training, and student services and technology was gathered between July 1, 2016, to June 30, 2017. To compute the rankings, the weighted data from a reputation survey and statistical questionnaire were assigned point values and then summed into overall scores for each school. Those programs performing in the bottom 25 percent were not ranked.

MBA@Â鶹ƵµÀis Whitman’s premier distance-learning, part-time program for professionals and executives. Delivered in partnership with  the online program includes live, weekly, face-to-face sessions taught by Whitman professors in small seminar-style classes. The immersive course content features highly produced videos, quizzes, learning modules and other interactive media. Additionally, faculty and students have access to the MBA@Â鶹ƵµÀonline learning platform and coursework on mobile apps.

MBA@Syracuse’s hybrid model allows students to develop collaborative relationships with faculty and peers while providing the flexibility to complete their MBA as they continue their career progression. The program offers electives in accounting, finance, marketing management, supply chain management, business analytics and entrepreneurship. MBA@Â鶹ƵµÀrequires the completion of 54 credits, or roughly 18 courses in 11 week-long semesters, along with three in-person residencies in cities that are major centers of business, as well as on the Â鶹ƵµÀUniversity campus.

Admission for MBA@Â鶹ƵµÀis selective; applicants need a bachelor’s degree and at least one year of full-time professional experience. The GMAT is not required for applicants with more than five years of experience. Upcoming deadlines for admissions are Feb. 6 and May 8.
