The will hold its annual on Friday, April 21, at the school. This marks the 14th year of the event, which was inaugurated in 2003 as an annual celebration of , founder and chairman of the High Conviction Fund, and his wife, Lois, for their tremendous generosity and commitment to business education and 鶹ƵUniversity.
The day highlights Whitman’s contributions to the business world, provides a forum by innovators in finance, and showcases exceptional Whitman students. This year’s event features a keynote address by Ronnie C. Chan, chairman of Hang Lung Group Limited and 2017 Martin and Phyllis Berman Distinguished Lecturer. The topic of Chan’s presentation is “China in Transition: What It Will Mean for China and the World Economy.” The address will be from noon to 1:15 p.m. in the Marvin and Helaine Lender Auditorium, located on the concourse level of the Whitman School building.

Chan’s companies deal in real estate development, investment and management. Founded in 1960, Hang Lung Group has been expanding into mainland China since 1992. Hang Lung has been investing $11 billion, building a number of world-class commercial complexes in major Chinese cities, including Tianjin, Shenyang, Jinan, Wuxi, Dalian, Kunming and Wuhan.
