Student organizers for the conference, planned for April 22, have announced a call for speakers for the event.
The one-day conference will bring together thought leaders from Syracuse’s technology, entertainment and design backgrounds to host short lectures on local issues and popular trends.
Speaker applications can be . The application deadline is Jan. 30. Conference organizers encourage anyone with an idea they wish to share with the 鶹Ƶand TEDx communities to apply for a speaking slot.
Speakers who advance through the first round of applications will be notified by Monday, Feb. 6. Interviews will be held Thursday through Saturday, Feb. 16-18. Finalists will need to accept their speaking slot by Monday, Feb. 20.
TEDx stems from the original events that promote the mantra “ideas worth spreading”—where international leaders in their fields gather to speak and find inspiration from one another. The “x” denotes a local conference that seeks to educate and engage communities around the world.
