Â鶹ƵµÀUniversity Ambulance (SUA) invites the Â鶹ƵµÀUniversity community to join in the celebration of National Collegiate Emergency Medical Services Week, beginning Monday, Nov. 14.

National Collegiate EMS Week is modeled after National EMS Week, an event sponsored by the American College of Emergency Physicians and endorsed by Congress. Participating in EMS Week is a valuable way for campus-based EMS organizations to highlight their services and provide education to the community.

The following events will be held throughout the week:

Monday, Nov. 14
SUA will present an Emergency Vehicle Exposition at SU Ambulance headquarters, 111 Waverly Ave., from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This event will showcase one of SUA’s ambulances and the Mass Casualty Incident (MCI) trailer. The vehicles will be open for walkthroughs and SUA members will be on hand to answer questions.

Tuesday, Nov. 15
SUA will be tabling in the Schine Student Center Atrium from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will focus on vitals/CPR awareness, and include free blood pressure screenings, demonstrations of hands-only CPR and demonstrations of the Zoll AutoPulse® Resuscitation System.

Wednesday, Nov. 16
SUA invites all interested community members to tour its headquarters at 111 Waverly Ave. from 5-8 p.m.

Thursday, Nov. 17
SUA will continue vitals/CPR awareness tabling in the Schine Student Center Atrium from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. SUA will also cosponsor an American Red Cross blood drive with the Phi Delta Epsilon medical fraternity in Rooms 304 ABC of the Schine Student Center from noon-5 p.m.
