Across the country, the presidential primary process has been attracting incredible attention. Now it is New York’s turn to shine. Together with the Onondaga County Board of Elections, the Office of Government and Community Relations reminds Â鶹ƵµÀUniversity that the New York State Presidential Primary will take place on Tuesday, April 19.

Each state has its own rules. Note that New York State has closed primaries. That means that only enrolled members of the Democratic and Republican parties can vote in their respective primaries on April 19. The deadline to enroll in a party has passed.

Be sure to check your party registration before you head out to the polls. You can do so at . This link will allow you to see your party registration, address and polling location.

Polling places will be open from noon-9 p.m.  People who need assistance with or accommodations for the voting process should alert an election worker upon entering the polling location.

There are several polling places serving the campus community, including Bird Library. Voters must go to the one serving their address. Find your assigned polling place at .
