Two recent alumnae of the sculpture program in the College of Visual and Performing Arts are opening Apostrophe’S gallery on Syracuse’s north side.
Two recent graduates of the sculpture program in the ’ Department of Art have opened a new contemporary gallery at 1100 Oak St. on Syracuse’s north side.
Sculptors Holly Wilson ’15 and Allison Kirsch ’15 developed Apostrophe’ S to create a versatile space in which artists and students can exhibit artwork of all media.
“Our sculpture degrees at SU gave us the skills to bring any idea to life,” say Wilson and Kirsch. “We are excited to have the opportunity to construct a new space that will encourage a dialog between students, artists and the 鶹Ƶcommunity.”

The gallery’s soft opening, “In Violation,” will be held on Sunday, July 5, from 7-10 p.m. The show will feature the Divine Alter experimental music label presenting Todd A.K., Pretengineer, Dear Heart, Allocer and an additional band to be announced. A gallery preview for the community will be held during the holiday weekend on Friday, July 3, and Saturday, July 4, from 6-8 p.m.
