U.S. News & World Report has ranked the at #50 of best education graduate schools for 2016. The school is positioned at #11 among private universities, and its graduate special education programs are ranked #14 in the country.
There are 670 total students enrolled in graduate programs at the School of Education.
This is the fourth consecutive year the School of Education has been ranked in the top 50.
“This year’s ranking recognizes the ongoing excellent work of the school,” says School of Education Dean Joanna Masingila. “We are solidly grounded in our outstanding history, and looking to increase our research funding and continue building our reputation as one of the top schools of education in the country.”
There are 670 total students enrolled in graduate programs at the School of Education. The school currently has 54 full-time, tenured or tenure-track faculty. For the 2013-2014 fiscal year, the School of Education brought in external funding totaling $5.9 million.
The U.S. News & World Report bases rankings on two types of data: expert opinions about program excellence and statistical indicators that measure the quality of a school’s faculty, research and students. The data comes from surveys of administrators at over 1,900 programs and of more than 13,700 academics and professionals, conducted during the fall of 2014 and early 2015.
