Art and design students in the ’ (VPA) first-year foundation program are exhibiting their work in “Best of Foundation 2015” through Wednesday, March 4, at J&J Smith Gallery, 117 Smith Hall. The exhibition is free and open to the public. Gallery hours are Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
“Best of Foundation 2015” features drawing; digital, two-dimensional works; collage; sculpture; video; and design work. A reception will be held on Thursday, Feb. 19, from 6:30-8 p.m. and will include presentations of work by Keith Messinger ’18 (music/digital media) and Chao Huang ‘18 (interactive sculpture).
The foundation program is a prerequisite for the bachelor of fine arts and bachelor of industrial design degree programs in VPA’s Department of Art and Department of Design.
