Stuart Taub, interim director at 鶹ƵUniversity’s Office of Sponsored Programs, has been appointed director of the Office of Sponsored Programs. Taub’s appointment, made by Vice President for Research Gina Lee-Glauser, is effective July 1 and represents a service-centered support role for assisting faculty, staff and students in the preparation and submission of research proposals and the management of externally funded research and scholarly projects.
“I have worked with Stuart over the past decade, but more closely last year. I am impressed with Stuart’s can-do attitude and proactive service-centered approach for managing the sponsored program office. He will be effective in his new role,” says Lee-Glauser.
“I am excited for this opportunity to serve the University research community in the pursuit and administration of externally funded projects,” says Taub. “I look forward to working closely with Gina, faculty, chairs, deans, directors and staff as we collaboratively strive to grow the research enterprise at 鶹ƵUniversity.”
Prior to becoming interim director of sponsored programs, Taub served as associate director and research administrator for sponsored programs.
Taub joined SU in 2001 from the Central New York Research Corp. (CNYRC), located in the 鶹ƵVA Medical Center, where he was a director of operations and finance. He was responsible for pre-award and post-award research administration, as well as overseeing the human resources functions for CNYRC employees.
He received a bachelor’s degree in communications from SUNY Brockport, and an M.S. in health services management and public policy from The New School.
