Michel Benaroch, professor of management information systems in the , has been appointed associate dean for faculty development and research, effective Oct. 1. Benaroch will lead the school’s efforts to enhance research productivity, reputation and reach.
“I am delighted that Michel has agreed to assume this significant role for the Whitman School. The entire Whitman community thanks him for his hard work in handling this endeavor,” says Whitman Dean Melvin T. Stith.
Benaroch currently serves as associate editor of both the Journal of Association of Information Systems and Electronic Commerce Research and Applications. His research interests include the economics of information technology (IT) investments and of IT investment risk, the development of declarative ontology-centered modeling formalisms for building systems and decision support and data mining applications in finance and economics.
