The previewed the exhibition “Motifs Evocations,” opening at the La Casita Cultural Center. The exhibition features the work of six artists who are natives of Chile, Cuba, Colombia, Mexico and Puerto Rico. The La Casita Cultural Center Project is an initiative housed in The College of Arts and Sciences that uses arts and culture as a tool for bridging existing gaps between Syracuse’s Latino community, SU and other Central New Yorkers.

The highlighted XL Projects Gallery’s photograph exhibition “My Recovery Story,” developed by patients of Â鶹ƵµÀBehavioral Healthcare and focusing on how artistic expression can be self-revelatory. Students in the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications collaborated with SBH on producing promotional materials, as well as creating videos of the client artists in this interactive exhibition. XL Projects is part of the College of Visual and Performing Arts.
