Muslim Students’ Association to Present Personal Stories of Islamophobia on Thursday

The Muslim Students’ Association will present a panel discussion on Thursday, March 28, on Islamophobia from the perspective of Muslim students at 鶹ƵUniversity.

The student-led discussion, “New Zealand: An Honest Discussion on Islamophobia,” will begin at 6:30 p.m. in Maxwell Auditorium and is open to the public. Students will share personal stories and the struggles that young Muslims face here in the United States, and relate them back to the March 15 terrorist attack in Christchurch, New Zealand.

The event is co-sponsored by Hendricks Chapel and the Remembrance Scholars.

“Please come show your solidarity and learn how to be an effective ally to your Muslim community,” says Muslim Students’ Association member and Remembrance Scholar Dina Eldawy, a senior international relations and citizenship and civic engagement major in the Maxwell School and the College of Arts and Sciences.
